St. Martin building, Baiersdorf
The St. Martin residential park is located in Baiersdorf’s “In der Hut” development area, integrated into an urban park with numerous relaxation areas and children’s playgrounds. The train station is just a few minutes’ walk from the multi-generational residential area, with a bus stop located directly in front of the building. Owing to its location on the edge of the Erlangen/Nuremberg/Fürth conurbation, the Baiersdorf municipality is an attractive residential area with excellent transport connections, directly on the A73 between Nuremberg and Bamberg.
The facility provides space for 104 people in need of care and support. There are 75 places for full-time care. On the first, second and third floors, there are also 21 one-bedroom and 8 two-bedroom apartments ranging from 31 m² to 72 m². If necessary, the apartments can be turned into two-bedroom apartments (e.g. for married couples).
All apartments are designed for senior citizens – they ensure accessibility for the disabled, feature a spacious wheelchair-friendly shower, toilet, space for a nursing bed and nursing aids, a kitchenette, separate bells and letter boxes. The decor and design can be chosen completely freely according to the residents’ own wishes and needs.
The facility has a day-care unit with recreational and rest areas, which can be used by all the residents in the care facility, as well as external guests. The day-care unit provides space for a total of 27 people in need of nursing and general care and is geared to the needs of the day-care guests. It offers space for cooking and eating meals, employment, leisure and group activities, as well as areas for peace and quiet, rest or a cozy get-together in more familiar company.
